
Workers of Misr Spinning and Weaving Company in Kafr el-Dawwar continued their open-ended strike Thursday. Production at factory in Kafr el-Dawwar has been suspended for the fifth day in a row in support of workers at the Mahalla Spinning and Weaving Company, another branch of the holding company.The Kafr el-Dawwar workers are pressing to get the minimum wage set by the government, plus an exceptional raise.They also want their meal allowance up from 210 to 300 pounds.The workers also want the board chairman of the company, Adel Ebeid, fired, as well as Fouad Abdel-Aleem, the chairman of the holding company.
