
The Syrian army attacked foreign-backed rebel groups in various regions in Daraa, killing too many insurgents and wounding so many others in the battlefield, sources said, adding that the rebels fled to areas far from Syrian soldiers' military coverage.
A military source told the Syrian Arab News Agency that the Syrian armed forces targeted militiamen's strongholds in al-Madares area, to the East of al-Aswad Mosque in Atman and al-Kasarah area, on Samlin-Zamrin road and in Inkhel town, killing and wounding a large number of insurgents.
A long convoy of militants' cars loaded with weapons and ammunitions on Tafas road was targeted by the Syrian troops. , while other
Army also raided rebels in Southwest of al-Sheikh Miskin and Samlin town in Daraa countryside, killing over 20 terrorists and injured others.
The conflict in Syria started in March 2011, when sporadic pro-reform protests turned into a massive insurgency following the intervention of western and regional states.
The unrest, which took in terrorist groups from across Europe, the Middle-East and North Africa, has transpired as one of the bloodiest conflicts in recent history.
As the foreign-backed insurgency in Syria continues without an end in sight, the US government has boosted its political and military support to Takfiri extremists.
Washington has remained indifferent to warnings by Russia and other world powers about the consequences of arming militant groups
