Tesla takes dune bashing test in Dubai
A four-wheeled beauty rumbles through desert
Dubai - Emirates Voice
A four-wheeled beauty rumbles through desert dunes and churns up clouds of fine sand as it slides effortlessly on unruffled sandhills. You read this and imagine a rugged 4X4 with powerful internal combustion engines (ICE) rumbling down the orange sandy expanses.
But hold on, this stunt is performed by an elegant looking Tesla Model X with its 90-kilowatt battery! A video on YouTube of the new Tesla Model X is capturing the attention of car lovers and adventure freaks as the vehicle certainly challenges the dominance of ICE four-wheelers.
The video definitely exhibits the potent competition that this sleek Tesla model can give to the heavy-weight ICE vehicles. The Tesla Model X, a power machine which many will surely aspire to own, is priced at around Dh250,000 in UAE.
The video shows all-wheel-drive Model X P90 DL Tesla, cruising up and down sandy ridges of the Dubai desert while the driver, not known yet, shows off desert-driving tricks with the new powerful vehicle

Paris - Emiratesvoice
Two months after legendary designer Azzedine Alaia's sudden death plunged the fashion world into mourning, an exhibition in homage to the "King of Cling" opens Monday in his studios in Paris. The Tunisian-born designer, renowned for the way his clothes hugged the body, died suddenly in November aged 82, reportedly of heart failure after falling down the stairs at his home. The diminutive maverick, who ignored fashion week convention by showing when and where he wanted, in July produced his first couture collection in six years to rapturous reviews. Now some of his most iconic dresses are going on display in the glass-roofed gallery next to his studio and home in the Marais district where he used to show his creations. It includes the dress worn by supermodel Naomi Campbell, his longtime friend and muse, when she led
