HH Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan held the third session of the Supreme Strategic Committee between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Turkey held Wednesday at the Emiri Diwan. The meeting was attended by HH Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Thani.

The meeting was also attended by a number of ministers.The meeting was attended by the ministers of the Turkish delegation, members of the official delegation accompanying the President. At the beginning of the meeting, HH Emir of Qatar welcomed the Turkish President and expressed his happiness at the meeting. His Excellency meanwhile pointed out that the previous meetings were important and achieved their objectives, but the ambition is still great, hoping that this meeting will contribute to enhancing bilateral strategic cooperation and achieving aspirations and hopes of the two brotherly peoples. HE Emir stressed that the State of Qatar will not forget the position of His Excellency the President, the Government and the brotherly Turkish people with the State of Qatar during the siege.

HH Emir pointed out that the agreements signed between the two sides aim to achieve more cooperation in the strong relations between the two countries in various fields.

For his part, HE the Turkish President thanked HH Emir of Qatar for his warm hospitality and the accompanying delegation. HE The Turkish President expressed his full confidence that this session, like its predecessors, will enhance bilateral cooperation and achieve the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.

HE The Turkish President also said that the meeting with HH Emir dealt with economic and trade relations, stressing to continue the Turkish support to the State of Qatar in various fields, especially in the industrial and military fields.

With regard to Qatar’s hosting projects for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and Qatar 2030, HE the Turkish President expressed the readiness of the private sector in Turkey and the Turkish businessmen to cooperate and participate in the implementation of these projects.

In conclusion, HH Emir of Qatar called for the organization of the fourth session of the Supreme Strategic Committee between the State of Qatar and the Turkish Republic in Turkey next year.

During the meeting, HH Emir of Qatar reviewed ways to strengthen close cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Turkey, and the prospects for upgrading the strategic relationship between the two countries in all fields, in addition to discussing regional and international developments.
