Foreign Minister receives IISS director-general

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received at his office in the Ministry’s General Court today, the Director General and Executive Director of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), Dr. John Chipman.
The Minister praised the Institute’s role in preparing studies and researches, holding conferences and seminars and discussing issues and challenges facing the countries of the region and the world, affirming the Ministry’s keenness on strengthening cooperation with the International Institute for Strategic Studies to benefit the countries and peoples of the region, and wishing the Institute further progress and prosperity.
Dr. Chipman expressed his appreciation for the Minister’s continuous support for the Institute, praising the important role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the success of the Institute’s activities and the achievement of the desired objectives, and reviewing the most important issues that will be on the agenda of research and discussion in the next version of the Manama Dialogue.
