In the presence of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Charity Organization and Deputy patron of the ceremony, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Kuwait, Shaikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa, took part in the inauguration ceremony of the King Hamad Global Centre for Inter-Faith Dialogue and Peaceful Co-Existence.

During the ceremony, held as part of the activities of “This is Bahrain” under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in Los Angeles, the ambassador delivered a statement in which he affirmed that Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty, is always committed to promoting religious freedom for all within a spirit of mutual respect and love to reinforce peaceful co-existence and eliminate extremism.

He pointed out that Bahrain is a haven for religious freedom and the King Hamad Global Centre for Inter-Faith Dialogue and Peaceful Co-Existence stands as evidence of the prevailing spirit of tolerance, love and mutual respect among all citizens and residents in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The ambassador thanked HM the King for his generous donation of the land plot on which the Center will be built and that the generous gesture was not strange to His Majesty who has been known for working on underpinning openness, rapprochement and peaceful coexistence in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He went on saying that the Kingdom has, thus, grown into a major global center for important dialogues, meetings and gatherings aimed to reinforce peace, security, openness and coexistence among all religions and to promote renunciation of extremism, violence and partisanship.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United States, Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa and important figures such as Dean and Founder of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, Rabbi Marvin Hier, and Rev. Johnnie Moore, White House and United Nations representatives, religious leaders, senior guests and social and media figures.
