
Minister of Interior Magdy Abdel Ghaffar Thursday held an expanded meeting with a host of his assistants and Interior ministry's leaderships to assess security plans adopted in light of the challenges facing the country.
After greeting on the new Hijari year and October 6 war victory anniversary, Abdel Ghaffar reviewed security measures adopted by all sectors of the ministry to maintain security and stability achieved across the nation.
Vigilance and preparedness are key in fighting terror attempts that pose threat to national security, the minister said, stressing the necessity of police leaderships' effective presence in all security sectors to check on achievements progress.
Leaderships should also be aware of the wide-scale impacts of regional terrorism and conflicts, Abdel Ghaffar added.
Meanwhile, Abdel Ghaffar highlighted the necessity of intensifying anti-illegal immigration efforts along with targeting brokers and smugglers to take all legal measures against them.
Also, the minister issued directives to intensify campaigns on markets in order to face commodities monopoly, commercial fraud, and prices manipulation attempts.
He also asked for taking all measures to make sure that customers get products with both adequate prices and quality.
Concluding Thursday's meeting, Abdel Ghaffar urged stepping up traffic campaigns across all axes and roads as well as abiding by traffic laws to reduce accidents and protect citizens.
