West Indies' Kemar Roach, second right, celebrates taking the wicket
Abu Dhabi - Emirates Voice

West Indies took another England wicket to leave the hosts on 64 for five during a brief spell of action before rain stopped play on the second day of the third Test at Lord's on Friday.

Only four overs were possible but it was long enough for Kemar Roach to take his third wicket of the innings as Dawid Malan nicked an edge through to wicketkeeper Shane Dowrich.

Malan had added seven to his overnight score of 13 while Ben Stokes moved on to 24 not out with a couple of boundaries.

England began the day on 46-4 in response to West Indies first innings of 123 in which Stokes took a career-best six for 22 with a superb display of swing bowling.

With heavy rain falling and a grim forecast for the rest of the day England still trail by 59.

An astonishing opening day saw West Indies lose their last eight wickets for 45 runs, before hitting back with the ball to revive their hopes of a first series win in England since 1988.

Roach took the wickets of Mark Stoneman and Alastair Cook on Thursday evening while West Indies skipper Jason Holder accounted for Tom Westley and opposite number Joe Root to leave the match delicately poised.

England's James Anderson, who struck twice on Thursday, is one away from claiming 500 test wickets.

The series is locked at 1-1 after West Indies hit back from a first-Test drubbing at Edgbaston to win a thrilling match at Headingley, their first Test win in England for 17 years.
