Robbers seize museum items at Greece’s Ancient Olympia

Armed robbers have seized dozens of items on display at the museum in Ancient Olympia on Friday morning, Greek authorities say. The robbers tied up an employee during the theft. Culture Minister Pavlos Geroulanos has submitted his resignation following the robbery, AP said. Museum authorities have yet to make an account of the items taken from smashed display cases. The museum is located at the birthplace of the Olympics in southern Greece. A ceremony to light the Olympic flame for the London Games will be held there on May 10.
