Foreign envoys voice solidarity with Kingdom

Heads of foreign missions in the Kingdom on Tuesday joined the host nation in grief and condemned the terror attacks in Madinah, Jeddah and Qatif.
The diplomats also expressed solidarity with the Kingdom and the people as they condemned Monday’s terror attacks that killed four policemen on duty.
Condemning the terror strikes, US Ambassador in Riyadh Joseph Westphal said, “As the holy month of Ramadan comes to a close, Muslims from the United States to Saudi Arabia and beyond should now be celebrating the advent of Eid Al-Fitr. Instead many of us will be grieving, in particular the families of the Saudi security forces personnel and others who were hurt or killed in the senseless attacks in Jeddah, Qatif, and Madinah.”
Echoing the sentiment, Boris Ruge, the German ambassador, said, “We condemn these shameful terror attacks in Jeddah, Madinah and Qatif in the holy month of Ramadan in strongest words.”
The German envoy told Arab News that Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier issued a statement on the suicide attacks in Jeddah, Qatif and in front of the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, saying that the heinous attack perpetrated during Ramadan, could hardly be more cynical.
“They demonstrated once again that terrorists have no qualms, absolutely none, when it comes to spreading fear and wreaking havoc. Our thoughts are with all those who are mourning loved ones at this time and with all Muslims around the world, many of whom will be celebrating the end of Ramadan today,” the minister said in the statement issued here through the embassy.
Expressing solidarity with the Kingdom and condemning the terror attacks, the British Embassy in Riyadh shared a tweet by their foreign office that says, “We are appalled by the news of the terrorist bombing in Saudi Arabia today and extend sincere condolences and sympathy to all the families affected by these terrible attacks.”
Pakistani Ambassador Manzoor Ul Haq told Arab News, “We condemn the terror attacks in the holy city of Madinah, Jeddah and Qatif in strongest possible terms and firmly stand by our brotherly people of Saudi Arabia in this hour of grief.”
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of martyrs and those injured in the barbaric terror strikes wishing them speedy recovery. Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia are deeply shocked and saddened by the terror attacks,” he added.
He exuded hope that the Kingdom will come out with flying colors in its fight against terrorism.
Notably, the Kingdom is leading a 35-nation Islamic alliance to combat terrorism, of which Pakistan is also a member along with other Arab and Islamic countries. 
Speaking to Arab News, Finland Ambassaxdor Pekka Voutilainen condemned the brutal terror attack saying, “it is something which cannot be tolerated.”
“I really feel sorry and offer my deepest sympathy to the affected families in this hour of grief, and wish speedy recovery for those injured in the attacks,” the envoy said.
