Turkish Prime Minister Vows Strong Response to Dutch Officials
Ankara - Arab Today

Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim says his country will strongly respond to Dutch authorities' "unacceptable treatment" toward Turkish ministers who were prevented from addressing Turkish citizens in the Netherlands.
"There will be a stronger reprisal against the unacceptable treatment toward Turkey and ministers who have diplomatic immunity," Yildirim said in a written statement on Sunday.
"Our so-called European friends who speak of democracy, freedom of expression and human rights have failed their class," he added, noting further that the Turkish Family Minister Fatma Betul Sayan Kaya went to the Netherlands through Germany, to conduct an orientation on the referendum planned for mid-April to take place regarding the previous adopted constitutional amendments by the parliament.
He pointed out that the minister wanted to meet the Turkish citizens in the Netherlands, but the Dutch police prevented them from holding the meeting.
Yildirim continued saying "this is how the diplomatic scandal unfold, it has not reached a reasonable solution, despite all diplomatic contacts at all levels, and therefore the minister failed to make a planned meeting, and was forced to leave the Netherlands".
"Turkey’s family affairs minister said Dutch authorities were escorting the Turkish family minister Kaya to the border with Germany in a manner that "tramples on all democratic and human values".
Turkish nationals protested in front of the Netherlands Embassy in Ankara and the consulate in Istanbul, to express their rejection of the practices of the Dutch.
