
Jordan's Cabinet has approved action programs with the US in order to combat nuclear and radiological smuggling, Jordanian media outlets reported.
According to the Jordanian official newspaper, the agreement includes joint cooperation and enhancing Jordanian ability to deter attempts of nuclear, radiological smuggling.
The agreement also contains maintaining that the Jordanian nuclear system follows the standards of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the Jordanian newspaper El-Ghad reported on Friday.
It also includes Jordanian participation in the training courses, sponsored by the US Department of Energy and Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
The agreement also ensures promoting abilities of maintenance and developing radiation detection equipment as well as invalid inspection equipment.
