The return of Atelier Versace

Donatella Versace Paris - Arabstoday Donatella Versace has announced that she will return to the Ritz Paris on Sunday, July 1st to show her upcoming Autumn/Winter 2012-13 Atelier Versace collection.  Scheduled for 7.30 and 8.30 pm, the two Atelier Versace runway shows will be held in the Ritz’s Salon Vendôme. The Ritz Paris hosted numerous Atelier Versace runway shows from 1990 until Gianni Versace presented his last collection there in July 1997. Following her brother’s passing, Donatella Versace continued to show Atelier Versace at the Ritz Paris until 2000 and once again in January 2004. This will be one of the last major events to take place at the Ritz Paris before it closes its doors on July 31st for an unprecedented restoration project. “It is with tremendous emotion that I return to the Ritz where I shared so many special moments with my brother,” said Donatella Versace. “The closing of the Ritz Paris for two years represents the end of an era but also the beginning of a new one, so to be able to show Atelier Versace there one last time will be a memorable milestone.” Atelier Versace returned to the Paris couture calendar last January with a presentation at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts. Exclusive and glamorous, the Atelier Versace collection features all the intricacies that the refined craftsmanship of couture allows. Celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lopez, Gwyneth Paltrow, Lady Gaga and Uma Thurman have all turned to Atelier Versace for their red carpet appearances.
