
Industrial projects in Kuwait must obtain Environment Public Authority\'s (EPA) approval and comply with international environmental standards, minister of commerce and industry said. \"There will be no industry in any part of the country without EPA\'s approval,\" and within international environmental standards, Anas Al-Saleh said. Speaking to KUNA, Al-Saleh said the Public Industry Authority was coordinating with EPA regarding nature of activities in industrial zones, established next to residential areas. These activities, he added, should be small and medium-size industries and environmental-friendly, in addition to complying with standards set by the general fire department.
