
Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) announced it would construct a number of houses for victims of the floods that swept Serbia, in cooperation with the Embassy of Kuwait and the concerned authorities there.
New homes in the affected areas will be built by a donation from the Kuwait Government and supervised by the Embassy of Kuwait and KRCS, Deputy Chairman of KRCS and head of the delegation to Serbia Anwar AL-Hasawi said in a statement.
KRCS team visited Obrenovac city where thousands of houses were destroyed there, Al-Hasawi added.
The KRCS takes upon itself speeding up the completion of a number of projects, he said, praising the coordination process between the Kuwaiti Embassy in Serbia and the Serbian authorities to facilitate all procedures for the delegation, he said.
Obrenovac Governor expressed deep thanks and appreciation to the Government of the State of Kuwait and its people, praising the humanitarian gesture of His highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and for his support for the affected people in various parts of the world in general and the generous support for the Serbian people in particular.
