ADFD grants $5m to update Socotra Airport

Director General of Socotra International Airport met here on Thursday with a delegation of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) headed by Saad al-Katabi. They discussed the arrangements and measures for a grant of $5 million provided by the ADFD to modernize the Socotra International Airport. The two officials reviewed the role the airport modernization will play in raising the airport performance. On the other hand, Director General of Hedibo district in Socotra Archipelago Salem Dahiq and ADFD delegation\'s head Saad al-Katabi inaugurated Thursday an ice factory in the district. The factory costs $545,000 funded by the ADFD and produces up to 10 tons of ice per day.
