
Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) hosted a meeting for environment officials from major companies in Bahrain and well-known firms on Thursday at Alba.
Environment officials from BANAGAS, GPIC, Bapco, ASRY and Tatweer and other industrial firms, who included Well Flow Gulf Products, Schlumberger and Al-Ezzel O&M Company attended this gathering.
This meeting demonstrated Alba’s efforts to seek areas of mutual cooperation with leading companies in Bahrain towards protecting the environment and safeguarding its employees’ wellbeing.
Alba was represented by Environment Engineer , Sayed Salah Aqeel Ali Mohammed, Superintendent Desalination, Calciner & Marine Plant, Ali Abdul Hassan Hussain and Senior Industrial Hygienist, Osama Kamel Alnasser.
The meeting enabled the present officials to address any specific environmental concern by any member and present successful environmental activities. Common matters related to the newly formed national committee for the review of the environmental standards were also discussed.
Commenting on the environment officials meeting, Alba’s Chief Operations Officer, Isa Al Ansari said: "Alba's name is often used as an example of a company that fulfils its environmental obligations and supports all manner of environmental initiatives. We are committed to maintain best industry practises by working together with leading companies in Bahrain to adopt global practices for best results."
The visiting officials were given a tour of Alba’s Calciner & Marine plant and showcased the environmental benefits of the plant.
