The Arab Organization for Industrialization said it tested the first air-conditioned Egyptian train on Thursday as the final stage of delivering a total of 23 trains, in tandem with opening the new Suez Canal project.
It a statement, the AOI said it has been working on a new national product and tested the first-ever Egyptian-made air-conditioned train.
Two trains or 18 train cars will be manufactured each month, it said, adding it would complete the production of 212 air-conditioned train cars on 6 August 2016.
