The Cairo-based Arab Contractors Company announced Thursday that it has completed 70 percent of the works of Al-Jahra Road project.
It added that the work is on full swing to complete the project as per schedule early 2016.
"The Arab Contractors Company is working relentlessly to complete the project as per the contracted upon schedule and specifications," Engineer Ahmad Tawakol, project's manager, stated to KUNA.
He noted the company is also executing several other major projects in Kuwait, including Sheikh Jaber Hospital project.
The company has a long history in implementing construction projects similar to Al-Jahra Road in 29 countries, which qualified it to work in Kuwait, Tawakol said.
On work atmosphere, Tawakol said that the company's Egyptian workers never felt alienated while working in Kuwait due to cultural and social similarities between the two countries.
Al-Jahra Road project's original contracting value is KD 264.7 million. The value was decreased following revisions to KD 260.8 million. The project is divided into five phases.
