
Governor of Jazan region Prince Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, on Wednesday patronized the signing of construction and supply contracts for the refinery and terminal of Jazan. Jizan refinery is located on the coast of the city of Beesh in the heart of the Jazan Economic City. It will be built on an area of 12 square kilometers. It will be completed in late 2016 AD and will process 400,000 barrels of oil products, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported today. The estimated capital investment for this project is SR 5.2 billion and will provide about 1,600 direct jobs. The signing ceremony was attended by Saudi Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Naimi, and Prince Faisal bin Turki bin Abdulaziz, Adviser at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Governor of Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Economic Cities Commission Eng Abdullatif bin Ahmed Al-Othman and President and CEO, Saudi Aramco, Eng. Khalid Bin Abdulaziz Al-Faleh.
