
Borouge, a leading provider of innovative, value creating plastics solutions, demonstrated its polyolefins solutions for sustainable infrastructure including large diameter pipes and durable wires and cables at the Wetex: Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition 2012 in which the Company participates as a strategic sponsor. Borouge showcased its latest innovative solutions at the stand, which was visited by a large number of representatives of local authorities (end users) and regional water and cable companies, as well as customers and developers of infrastructure projects. At Borouge stand, Wim Roels, CEO of Borouge’s Marketing and Sales Company, Hussain Sultan Lootah, Senior Vice President Middle East Africa, and members of the Company’s executive team in the Middle East introduced the visitors to a variety of the latest plastics solutions that Borouge provides for sustainable infrastructure including pipe systems and power and communication cables. “As a company focused on Value Creation through Innovation, Borouge leads the market with pipe solutions for drinking water and sanitation, and mainly for the large diameter industrial water pipeline applications,” said Lootah. “Borouge is also a leading supplier to the wire and cable industry providing solutions in insulation, semi-conductive and jacketing solutions for low, medium and high voltage power cables.” Demonstrating samples of large diameter pipes made of Borouge’s polyolefins for industrial applications, Lootah highlighted the durability, flexibility and chemical resistance features of polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) grades provided by Borouge making them ideal to manufacture 3,000 mm diameter pipes.
