Caracal International, Abu Dhabi's firearms manufacturer, is to unveil new products at IDEX 2015, according to the company's Chief Executive Officer, Hamad Salim Al Ameri.
Caracal, which is part of Emirates Defence Industries Company, EDIC, will showcase two new assault rifles, CAR816 and CAR814, and a new upgraded design for the Caracal F pistol at the exhibition.
Two new types of Caracal 1911 guns will also be exhibited for the first time in the Middle East, along with the Caracal CC10 rifle and CC308 sniper gun.
Caracal is focused on meeting the needs of its primary customer, the UAE Armed Forces, while also winning new business abroad, Mr. Al Ameri said.
"We consider the UAE Armed Forces as our partners. We always cater to their needs and provide them with competitive products that serve their requirements," he said.
"Caracal's products are now in many foreign markets. We recently participated in an international arms show in Las Vegas in the US, and this reflects our keenness to become recognised globally by key industry players," Al Ameri added.
As part of EDIC, the integrated national defence manufacturing and services platform, Caracal aims to contribute to a strong local defence industry with a positive growth outlook for the future.
