Dongkuk Steel company set to absorb Union Steel 2015

Dongkuk Steel Co., South Korea's third-largest mill, said Friday that it will absorb Union Steel Co. next year in a bid to boost its output and overall competitiveness.
The company said its board of directors officially approved the merger earlier in the day. The move effectively concludes all necessary steps needed to bring Union Steel into Dongkuk's fold.
