
Du has announced a new five-year network managed services agreement with Huawei, a global ICT solutions provider. The new step reflects on all the services offered by du to its customers and represents the company’s continuing commitment to enhance the customers’ services experience. Customers will benefit from the combined strength of du’s converged fixed and mobile network, while at a corporate level du will have access to a wide pool of experts and industry-leading tools, allowing it to further optimise its network potential. The agreement was marked during a ceremony held at the du head office in Dubai Media City by Fahad Al Hassawi, Chief Human Resources and Shared Services Officer, du; Hatem Bamatraf, Executive Vice President, Network Development Operations, du, and Xia Chao Jie, Middle East Vice President of Delivery and Services, Huawei and Liu Wenjun (Wilson), General Manager UAE, Huawei. As part of the agreement, Huawei will provide its recognised worldwide expertise to manage du’s network operations including mobile, fixed and broadcasting networks. du will continue to deliver advanced network solutions with increased operational and network efficiency that will further develop the service experience of its customers. Managed Services is the new frontier when it comes to optimisation of company resources. By partnering with Huawei in implementing it, du will be able to increasingly focus on its core result areas and further streamline its operations. This augurs well for du’s customers, who expect the very best in telecom services.
