EQUATE Petrochemical Company announced that it has won a Gulf Petrochemical and Chemical Association (GPCA) award for best plastic products and processes.
"As a firm believer in the value of continuous development to achieve overall sustainability, EQUATE is determined on delivering innovation for the benefit and advantage of all stakeholders, especially industrial entities, customers and all consumers of plastic products," President and (CEO) of EQUATE Mohammed Hussein said in a statement here on Saturday.
"This achievement was realized through our distinguished human resources, especially nationals, who represent the main element in the Company's journey for more growth and progress at a global level in all sectors to embody our slogan of 'Partners in Success'," he added.
"The Company developed the attributes of a grade of Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE). Such an improvement of this grade has enhanced its clarity and reduced the blocking properties of plastics manufactured using this grade," said EQUATE Research & Development (R&D) Leader Arif Al-Qattan.
EQUATE was established in 1995, and it is an international joint venture between Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC), The Dow Chemical Company (Dow), Boubyan Petrochemical Company (BPC) and Qurain Petrochemical Industries Company (QPIC).
