
Hyundai Motor Co., South Korea\'s top carmaker, will begin selling a new sedan exclusively made for Chinese customers from next month, a company official said Tuesday, as it seeks to gain strong sales momentum in the world\'s biggest auto market. Hyundai unveiled the Mistra model in April at an auto show in Shanghai and the new sedan will cost from 150,000 yuan (US$24,574) to 190,000 yuan, the official at Hyundai\'s Chinese unit said. \"The Mistra model will be available for sale in China from Nov. 19,\" the official said on the condition of anonymity, declining to give a sales target for the new vehicle. In the first nine months of this year, Hyundai saw its sales in China jump 28 percent from a year earlier to 760,916 units. Beijing Hyundai Motor Co., a joint venture between Hyundai and Beijing Automotive, operates three assembly plants in Beijing, where it is set to finish the ongoing expansion of its third plant by next year. Hyundai will have an annual production capacity of 1.05 million units when the expansion is completed
