The longstanding relationship between Jafza and Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) received additional reinforcement through the initiation of joint projects in the areas of communication and mutual team development. Salma Ali Saif Saeed Bin Hareb, CEO of Economic Zones World and Hamad Buamim, Director General of Dubai Chamber signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that seeks to underpin the foundations of the partnership between the two organisations. The key areas of focus that stem from this new understanding are to refresh lines of communication between Jafza and Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and to establish a closer relationship that will be beneficial to the customers of both entities. Speaking on the occasion, Salma Hareb commented: “Jafza has always enjoyed a fruitful relationship with Dubai Chamber that has been of great benefit to Jafza companies. Through this memorandum we will be able to build further on our commitment to each other by strengthening our current processes, improving the business environment our customers operate within. As a direct result, the customer experience of both Jafza and Dubai Chamber clients will be exponentially improved.” In order to meet the goals established by this MoU there will be an evaluation on both sides of current procedures with the aim of developing new, joint approaches. This will allow for identification of any existing gaps in knowledge and operation and provide opportunity for mutual recommendations for rectifying any issues. There is also a strong impetus on increasing the flow of information between Jafza, Dubai Chamber and their customers. To this end, it is hoped to establish electronic programmes connecting Jafza and Dubai Chamber. This will also increase ease of operation and encourage closer co-operation regarding conferences, training courses and seminars. On his part, Hamad Buamim spoke of this latest step in cooperation with Jafza, saying: “Dubai Chamber works to continually improve upon its approach to meeting the needs of its customers and stakeholders. This MoU provides us with an opportunity to develop our existing, successful, relationship with Jafza and establish new ways of mutually aligning our processes, thereby improving the experience of both our customers.” EZW is the global provider of sustainable industrial and logistics infrastructure solutions.
