KAI successfully completes first flight test of KT-1P trainer for Peru

Korea Aerospace Industries Ltd. (KAI) said Tuesday that it successfully conducted the first flight test of the KT-1P basic trainer aircraft that will be sent to Peru. The country's sole aircraft manufacturer said the plane incorporates the light attack capabilities and tactical air controller functions of the KA-1 planes already in service, while meeting specifications laid down for the XKT-1, an export variant of the turboprop trainer.
