KT acquisition to get regulatory approval

South Korea\'s telecom titan KT Corp. said Monday that it expects to win regulatory approval for its acquisition of a local credit card firm next week, as the company is ready to expand into mobile payment services. The Fair Trade Commission (FTC), the country\'s corporate watchdog, is expected to make a decision on KT\'s acquisition of BC Card Co. on Nov. 1, a KT spokesman said. The move follows the telecom company\'s acquisition of a major stake in BC Card earlier this year.
