LG eyes over 10% rise in air conditioner sales

LG Electronics Inc., South Korea\'s leading consumer electronics maker, said Wednesday that it is aiming to increase sales of air conditioners by more than 10 percent this year despite the global economic slowdown. \"We posted over 10 percent growth in sales of air conditioners in the global market last year. We are targeting a similar expansion this year despite the sluggish conditions,\" said Nho Hwanyong, president of LG Electronics\' air conditioning & energy solution division.
