
Qatar Industrial Manufacturing Company (QIMC) recently organised a two-day training programme ‘Maintenance Management – Principles & Strategies’. The workshop, conducted by the GCC Apex Dubai, came in tune with the organisation’s maintenance development strategy and interest in enhancing efficiency and productivity of employees. “The objective of the training was aimed at enhancing the potential of the maintenance staff of the company, enhance experiences and integrate maintenance team effectiveness and reliability,” QIMC CEO Abdulrahman A al-Ansari said. He said the design and content of the programme focused on transferring knowledge and stimulating experiences in a high interactive environment supported by discussions and debates. “The two day course provided a practical basis for team approach in managing maintenance in heavy industry. The modules mainly focus on maintenance management, establishing health maintenance programmes, planning and scheduling,” said Mohamed al-Temnah, who conducted the training sessions.
