
Omani Qatari Telecommunications Company (Nawras) said it has appointed Sheikh Saud bin Nasser bin Faleh al-Thani as vice-chairman, after the former incumbent took on a new role at Qatar Telecom, the Muscat-based firm’s parent company. Sheikh Saud al-Thani replaces Khalid Ibrahim al-Mahmoud who was recently appointed group chief officer, of the small and medium businesses unit at Qtel Group, Nawras said in an e-mailed statement. Sheikh Saud joined Qtel in 1990. He is currently chief executive officer of Qtel Qatar and has served on the Nawras board of directors since 2008. From gulf times.
