Rostelecom\'s second quarter net profit down

Russian long-distance operator Rostelecom posted a second quarter IFRS net profit of 8.55 billion rubles, down 19 percent year-on-year, Rostelecom said on Thursday. On April 1, 2011, Rostelecom completed a merger with seven inter-regional companies, formerly owned by state-owned telecoms holding Svyazinvest and regional operator Dagsvyazinform.
