Samsung C&T wins US$3 bln deal

Samsung C&T Corp., a South Korean trading and construction company, said Sunday that it has signed a US$3 billion deal to build wind and solar energy power plants in Canada. Under the deal with the government of the Province of Ontario, Samsung C&T will construct 520 megawatt energy farms in the southern regions of Haldimand and Chatham-Kent, and 550 megawatt complexes in Kingston and Bruce.
