
Sonatrach group and Dodsal Engineering (India) inked Wednesday in Algiers a contract to build a gas compression facility to maintain production of Hassi Messaoud northern field.
The DZD 49million contract provides a conception lead-time of 36 months.
In addition to the 24 million m3/day compression unit, Dodsal, which was accepted after a selective consultation, will also implement, on behalf of Sonatrach, a 180 km gas pipelines network.
These installations "will push production limits in Hassi Messaoud", the largest oil field in the country with 400,000 barrels produced per day, the CEO of Sonatrach Abdelhamid Zerguine, said durin g the signing ceremony.
