
Asir Gov. Prince Faisal bin Khaled has announced the launch of a pharmaceutical manufacturing firm at a cost of SR300 million. The governor announced the project as he opened the Abha Investment Forum (AIF) and accompanying exhibition comprising more than 19 pavilions including King Abdulaziz City for Sciences and Technology (KACST), Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF). Abha Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) Chairman Abdullah Al-Mabti said the AIF planned to promote 46 of ACCI-sponsored investment opportunities, 12 of them medium-sized projects whose costs range between SR9 million to SR90 million. He said another 34 small-scale projects were destined for young entrepreneurs whose capital ranges between SR300,000 to SR9 million.
