
The British telecommunication group Vodafone expressed its interest to enter the phone market in Algeria, said Minister of Post and Information and Communication Technologies Zohra Derdouri in an interview with APS.
“The British Vodafone is interested in the Algerian market,” said Derdouri.
For the minister, Algeria “discusses” with all the operators which “make proposals to enter the local phone market.
Already present in several countries, Vodafone seeks to establish itself in Algeria, a country which is considered as one of the most important markets of the continent with 39.5 million mobile phone subscribers.
