Woqod net profit QR 240.7 mln

Qatar Fuel Company (woqod) disclosed Sunday its quarterly financial statements for the period ended 31 March 2012. Its net profit for the period amounted to QR 240.7 million compared to QR 268.9 for the same period of the preceding year, the company said in a statement published on (Qatar Exchange) website. As also the earning per share was QR 4.63 in the first quarter of the year 2012. Qatar Fuel (WOQOD) was formed in 2002 as a joint stock company listed on the Doha Securities exchange. The company was formed from the fuels storage and distribution assets owned at that time by Qatar Petroleum under the name of NODCO (National Oil Distribution Company).
