
Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi on Wednesday encouraged French\'s oil giant Total to pour more investments in Yemen. During a meeting with French Amabssador to Yemen Frank Julie, President Hadi said that the economic and investment partnership with the French company of Total is long-term and strategic. He urged Total to increase its investments and the production as well. He said that Yemen needs support due to the difficult situation it is experiencing now. He welcomed the French and European investments, saying \"Yemen is an oil, gas and various mineral-rich country.\" \"France stands by Yemen, particularly in such difficult situations and will provide all required assistance\", the French ambassador said. Julie said that France is a partner with Security Council\'s permanent members and the European Union in order to carry out the Gulf initiative and the UN resolutions 2014 and 2051. Moreover, President Hadi and Julie reviewed several issues concerning the outcomes of the Hadi\'s visit to EU and USA last month, including the French aid in various areas and its allocation of USD 180 million for electricity.
