Annual inflation in the eurozone edged down to 2.5 percent in October, slightly down from 2.6 percent in the previous month, the European Union\'s (EU) statistical office Eurostat said on Thursday. Month on month, prices in the 17-member single currency zone rose by 0.2 percent from September. In the wider 27-nation EU, consumer prices rose by 2.6 percent from the same period last year, and by 0.3 percent on a monthly basis. Of all EU states, Greece registered in lowest annual inflation rate of 0.9 percent while Hungary registered the highest rate of 6.0 percent.
