
The Trade volume between Kuwait and Indonesia amounted to USD 130 million, excluding petroleum products, member of the Board of Directors at Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry Khalid Al-Khalid announced Monday.During a meeting with a visiting Indonesian delegation at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Al-Khalid pointed out that there is a joint collaboration between the private sectors of the two countries to increase the volume of trade and enhance economic relations.The meeting discussed profitable investment opportunities for Kuwaiti businessmen in Indonesia, especially in the Indonesian tourism and infrastructure.The visiting Indonesian delegation included representatives from the private sector, showcased, at the meeting, some highly commercial products such as fabrics, footwear, women apparel, jewelry and other various investments.The trade volume between Kuwait and Indonesia jumped by a whopping 52 percent, USD 2.5 billion, in 2013 in comparison to the trade volume between Indonesia and the rest of the GCC countries that recorded a 7 percent, USD 20 million, during the same period.
