The Undersecretary of the UAE’s Ministry of Interior Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far met here on Thursday with the Deputy Director General of the Japanese National Anti Narcotics Agency. The two sides discussed ways to boost cooperation and existing coordination between the ministries of Interior in the UAE and Japan, especially in the areas of security and anti narcotics, (WAM) news agency reported. Al Sha’far lauded the friendship ties between the two countries, stressing keenness of the UAE on enhancing the relations with the agency. The Japanese official also met the Director General of the Anti Narcotics Department at the ministry Col. Saeed Al Suwaidi. They discussed a number of issues, notably, exchange of expertise in the area of drugs.
