
The Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basendwa on Wednesday approved the government’s 2014 performance plan. It directed all ministers and government officials to implement the plan and set their own implementing measures, asking them to take proper measures, activate follow-up and present regular reports on the plan implementation. The government made the tackle of insecurity and implementation of the National Dialogue Conference’s NDC) outcomes among its 2014 priorities. It also approved a bill of partnership between public and private sectors, tasking some ministers to complete relevant constitutional and legal procedures. The Cabinet also ordered the Industry and Commerce Minister to coordinate with relevant authorities to publish a report on a comprehensive industry survey which aims to promote industry sector. It further directed security services to take tight measures in border-crossing points, harbors and airports.
