Saudi King Salman Bin Abdel Aziz met on Friday with Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Mohamed Bin Zayed to discuss the bilateral relations between the two countries and the current efforts to support them during the current period in addition to the recent developments on the regional and international level.
The talks came in the framework of the meeting conducted between Saudi King and the Emirati official in Riyadh, as they exchanged congratulations on the occasion of Ramadan. Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, arrived in the Saudi city of Jeddah on Friday evening.
Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed was welcomed upon arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport by Prince Faisal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Governor of Makkah. Later, Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz received Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed. Both the leaders discussed strengthening of brotherly relations and a number of regional and international issues. 
Sheikh Mohamed is being accompanied by a high-level delegation including Sheikh Tahnoun Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; and a number of senior officials.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan thanked King Salman for the warm welcome and generous hospitality accorded to him and his delegation. During the meeting, they reviewed the close brotherly relations between the two countries and aspects of bilateral cooperation in various fields, in addition to the latest developments at regional and international arenas.  King Salman hosted a lunch banquet in honor of the UAE leader and his delegation before they left Jeddah.
Both leaders expressed their keenness to unify their positions against the attempts aiming to challenge the Gulf States during the current period, stressing the need for more cooperation, coordination and solidarity. They raised the importance of the role performed by Gulf Cooperation Council to increase solidarity between the Gulf countries to face increasing challenges during the coming period.
