Apple Inc. has dropped its appeal aimed at banning the U.S. sale of several mobile devices made by Samsung Electronics Co., an industry report picked up in Seoul said Tuesday.
According to FOSS Patents, a Germany-based blog that follows patent-related developments in the business world, the U.S. company filed a motion saying it will not appeal a federal district court ruling in March that ordered Samsung to pay US$930 million in damages for infringing a number of Apple patents related to smartphones and tablets.
