China Unicom, one of China's three state-owned telecom companies, added 1.71 million new mobile subscribers in June, bringing the total number to 295 million.
The company said earlier this week in a statement that it had 67.4 million fixed-line broadband subscribers by the end of June, an increase of 363,000 from a month earlier, according to China's (Xinhua) News Agency.
However, the company continues to lose fixed-line telephone subscribers, with the total number decreasing to 86.07 million by the end of June, down 776,000 from May.
