Disney, Paramount deal could indicate more \'Indiana Jones\' movies

An agreement between The Walt Disney Co. and Paramount indicates another "Indiana Jones" movie could be on the horizon, The Hollywood Reporter said. Disney purchased Lucasfilm in December 2012 for about $2.21 billion, and with that purchase came the handing over of some ongoing franchises, including "Star Wars" and "Indiana Jones." A year later, Disney and Paramount have worked out an agreement on the "Indiana Jones" series, allowing Disney to control "all future films" and Paramount to retain the rights of the four existing movies -- "Raiders of the Lost Ark," "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom," "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" and "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" -- The Hollywood Reporter said Friday. That deal would only be beneficial to Disney if there are more future films to have control over, the magazine said. There has been no announcement of a future "Indiana Jones" movie or who would play the title character if there is one.
