
Japanese carmaker Nissan voluntarily recalled two models of its luxury sedan Infiniti for faulty accelerator sensor that that could cause troubles in gaining speed, Seoul's transportation authorities said Monday. Voluntary recall would be made on 2,030 units of the Infiniti M35 model and 171 units of the Infiniti M45 that were manufactured between Nov. 8, 2004 and April 19, 2010, according to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. The models had defective acceleration pedal position sensor that could not accelerate the speed in a normal way and may turn on the warning light of engine, the ministry said. Owners of the defective vehicles can contact the service centers operated by Nissan Korea for free repairs from Monday. Those who had their cars repaired in advanced can be reimbursed for their costs.
